Dr Evans and Dr G. have been seeing our three dogs, two cats and numerous foster animals for over a decade. We have seen numerous vets all over SA and this is our preferred practice. They are extremely knowledgeable and always reasonably priced. Our pets have had serious surgeries to wellness checks w the docs and the staff and vets do a thorough job. It can take a few extra minutes to get in because they are busy and work with many rescues but the quality of care is worth it and if it is urgent they will get you in. I like that Dr Evans will allow us to email her with an issue and send photos and she knows our dog's issues so well.

Staff is 10/10 helpful with anything and treat you like a friend from check in to exam to check out. Dr Guevara was kind and knowledgeable and accommodating. I switched here based on recommendations from a San Antonio Dog Moms group because my other vet was overcharging us at every turn and not being honest when asking for estimates before scheduling. I felt taken advantage of and frustrated with the other vet. Much more positive open communication about cost at CRAH and I should have switched over to CRAH sooner!

We have been really happy with Dr. Guevara, Dr. Evans and all of their supporting staff for the last 4 years. I found Dr. G when looking for a vet that would make ranch calls for both, large and small animals. Since then, he has taken care of all of our basic needs, emergencies, surgeries, prescriptions, and euthanasias for our horses, cats and dogs. We have gone to their clinic for a few dog-related appointments and surgeries and have always been happy with their staff and other veterinarians on duty. Dr. G is always spot on with diagnosis, laid back and friendly, and his rates are very reasonable. We have not had any bad experiences with any of the veterinarians or staff. I can be very picky when it comes to what vet/supporting staff we use, so that says a lot. They just opened a new facility that I'm sure is amazing as well.

Very disappointed as a longtime client of Callahan animal. I have Been taking my dog there since she is adopted. Today I called them stating that my dog had not eaten couldn’t drink couldn’t get up to go to the bathroom and was very lethargic and could hardly move. When I called them, I explained that I could not leave work early to get there, but that I would have to get there in the afternoon and it would be closer between 4 o’clock Asked if they could keep her overnight as long as they gave her an IV and then could observe her in the morning that she was dehydrated and I didn’t want them to wake up and she was dead from dehydration. They stated that they would not give the dog an IV to keep her hydrated that they would just leave her in a kennel till the next morning I said she would be dead by then I called another vet and they took care of my dog even though the dog had to be put down because of a massive tumor in its abdomen, Callahan was more interested in the fact that the doctors needed to get home, and they said that they gave me the best options that they would give. I have now switched my animals to another vet since they have more of a heart and were not as worried about what time they got home instead of an emergency and taking care of an animal. If you want a vet with a heart don’t go there.
